TOOLBOX IS LIVE
The PRINTOOLS Toolbox is live. Seven tools you can open right now, and while we're in beta every one of them is free. The free ones stay free after launch too, so this isn't one of those trials that quietly starts charging you in month two.
If you print garments in Australia, this was built for you.
Our mission
Power to the printers. That's the whole mission statement, and we mean it literally.
If you print for a living you already know the drill. A customer sends through a logo that's 400 pixels wide and swears on their nan it's high res. You need to match a colour before any ink goes near a shirt. It's 9pm and you're quoting a job while quietly wondering if the price you just made up actually covers your rent. Every shop deals with this stuff, and most of us have been solving it with sketchy ad-covered websites or a spreadsheet someone built in 2014 that nobody is allowed to touch.
We reckon the industry deserves better shared equipment, so we built it, and we're giving the everyday tools away. Everything in the Toolbox gets tested on a real shop floor before it ships, and it's made for how Australian shops actually work, which means Celsius before Fahrenheit and prices that know GST exists.
Where we're going
The Toolbox is step one.
The AI Vectoriser is closest to the door: it's built and it turns raster logos into clean SVG, EPS and PDF files, it's just waiting on the production API hookup before we switch it on. The Image Upscaler is next on the bench, because someone has to rescue all those 400 pixel logos. A proper studio grade Background Remover Pro is lined up behind them. The Resources library keeps growing with operator manuals and guides, plus shop documents you can put your own name on and hand to customers like you made them yourself. We won't tell.
We also opened the feature request line from day one. The REQUEST A FEATURE button in the header goes straight to us and we read everything, so if you've got an idea or a gripe, send it through. What the community asks for is what gets built next.
Long term, we want PRINTOOLS to give this industry a proper backbone. We want shops sharing what they know instead of guarding it, and treating each other like teams in the same league rather than enemies across the road. The tools are how we earn the right to build that.
The tools
Here's the full grid and what each one actually does.
PRICE MATRIX BUILDER
Work out what to charge from your real shop costs instead of copying the shop down the road, who, for the record, also made their prices up. Punch in your overhead, capacity and setup labour and it builds a live pricing matrix for whatever method you run. Prices are ex GST and the maths is built around how Australian shops actually operate.
COLOUR LAB
Drop in any artwork and pull the exact colours out of it, convert RGB to CMYK through a real ICC profile, and match colours to the PRINTOOLS Matching System (PTMS). Handy for finding out what that colour on your screen actually becomes in ink before it surprises you on a shirt.
HALFTONE LAB
Prep artwork for DTF and DTG without opening Photoshop. Halftone screening, colour knockouts and tonal controls, then a print ready PNG export at proper resolution. It all runs in your browser, so your artwork never leaves your machine.
DPI CHECKER
Drop in a file and find out if it will survive the press. You get a plain quality score out of 5 at your target print size, which is very handy for showing a customer why their Instagram screenshot won't print at A3 before it costs you a reprint.
BACKGROUND REMOVER
Removes backgrounds from product photos and garment shots, free and unlimited, right in the browser. Honest note: it gets a bit weird around hair and fine detail. The Pro version on the roadmap fixes that properly.
HEAT PRESS GUIDE
Time, temperature and pressure for every common transfer and fabric combo, covering DTF, HTV, sublimation and screen printed transfers. Celsius first, and verified on real presses in a real Australian shop rather than copied off a forum.
PHOTOSHTOOLS
A full image editor in your browser. Open PSDs, edit layers, and export to whatever format you need, with print ready presets for A4, A3, platens and DTF rolls so new files start at the right size instead of 72dpi heartbreak.
One thing before you go press something
These tools are an assistant to a human, not a replacement for one. They'll get you close fast, but you're still the printer, so double check the output before anything important hits the press, and confirm critical colours against a physical guide. The Toolbox will cop it on the chin if you don't trust it yet. It'll earn it.
If you find something broken, missing or just plain weird, tell us through REQUEST A FEATURE in the header. The Toolbox gets better every time a real printer pushes on it.
Welcome in. Every printer needs their tools.
